Renoir Nude Recovered

The Renoir recovered this week by Italian police was taken from a restorer's lab 33 years ago.

A late canvas by Pierre-Auguste Renoir entitled Female Nude was identified by the daughter of the original owner. She had thrown a ball and hit it by accident in her childhood which produced a mark she remembered, one not from the spanking most likely rendered after confessing or pointing out this indentation either.

Renoir was a passionate painter who painted with brushes tied to his WRISTS once the rheumatoid arthritis disabled his hands. A studio visitor inspired a beautiful quote by angering Renoir commenting on his "bravery" in regard to working in such condition. Renoir, although I cannot give you the same delivery, is quoted as responding with, "One does not paint with one's hands." : : Angie Seegers : :

Human Blood Doners Passe

An endless supply of blood, including the rare AB-negative, can be derrived from embryonic stem cells. Harvesting is controversial, yet done once acorrding to lead researcher Robert Lanza. "The beautiful thing is that you start with one line, expand them indefinitely, and generate as many as you want," Lanza made clear.

Scientists used a four-step, and rather complex, process that turned stem cells into red blood cells capable of carrying as much oxygen as normal blood. "We literally generated whole tubes in the lab, from scratch," Lanza said.

Hospitals and blood banks will have an ample supply from labs opposed to human donors, if this can be duplicated in a cost-effective manner. : : Angie Seegers : :

Recognizing the Loss - Paul Newman

Today I was saddened, quite so, to read of Paul Newman's death and wanted to take a moment to understand why that may be, having never met the man.

Since childhood, I was able to thoroughly enjoy him grow on screen, in films, decades of films that I pride on sharing with my children. They noticed he enjoyed working with cinematographer Conrad Hall on their very own, my sweet, artistically inclined children, always participating and pointing out the masterful transitions from scene to scene. They were able to discern that artists form alliances that are life-long.

To witness someone respect their craft is essential when considering how to spend your time. I make a point of living a life in which I select the way to pass moments, and Paul Newman grabbed more than a series.

My commending makes not a difference--but the way I feel has possibilities. Something may come of what research will be done in regard to his life. There is loss and appreciation. The way to honor someone is to know them better. I will take more time for this man, and see what he was doing with his time here.

I will miss his contributions as an individual once among us, who strived in every way that he could. A man aware that people are in need. Influential, reasonable, generous with thought, provocative, and pro-active. An honest humanitarian. The tending to necessary philanthropic activities, the breadth of his knowledge, being the solution, and his personal endeavors and concerns outside of his creative realm say much.

In case you have never come across this bit of humor:
Paul Newman considered his performance in the costume epic "The Silver Chalice" to be so poor that he took out a full-page ad in "Variety" apologizing to anyone who might have seen it.

His 65+ Films - 38 videos - an extensive list of not so trivial trivia - and 343 photographs to date can be found under his BIO, and by searching his name HERE >> http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000056/bio

The following is well done, from The New York Times:

Selective Reasoning

Palin is convincingly blind to the fact she is present only to identify with the laymen, and merely being used for her possession of a valuable commodity - a family strategically poised to facilitate the movement of oil.

Has Palin not considered exactly how this has transpired with such rapidity? This is not recognition. This is the older, wiser, and far more corrupt finding the perfect pawn yet again.
By definition-the weakest and most numerous. (*Those that follow in-tow.)

One can see the cracks forming. The sleep is being lost, the tears are falling, and Palin is at risk of that familiar far fall, cracking as easily as the others we hurt in the media. It is becoming increasingly apparent, or rather, transparent, that she has a taste for this game, yet is completely unaware of her role within, on a larger scale.

Not exuding any sign of being a mental giant or that she earned a position to be in charge of, much of anything - it is safe to say that a great portion of American individuals are welcoming the expedient exit of an overt enunciator. : : Angie Seegers : :

Palin - Victims further Victimized

Not being one to post traumatizing images of people covered in body-length bruises to illustrate a point, the following information needs consideration. Speaking of which, so do the victims of violent acts who are brave enough to come forth.

My apologies go out with much sincerity to anyone who has been through further insult and undue stress by being charged to investigate a crime committed against them. Even receiving such a bill would have a derogatory mental impact, and I find this unreal, and inexcusable.

Four years after Sarah Palin became mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, the small town saved tax money at the exchange of a beating heart replaced by a blackened puck, and began billing sexual-assault victims for rape kits and forensic exams.

In 1994, Democratic vice-presidential nominee, Senator Joseph Biden, drafted the Violence Against Women Act. Provisions were made to ensure that states charging rape victims for kits, supplies, and exams would be made ineligible for federal grant money.

Senator John Sidney McCain III,(*born August 29, 1936), Republican presidential nominee who has chosen said former Mayor to be the Republican vice-presidential nominee , voted against the initiative. Every year the act is renewed, his name is not listed as a co-sponsor. The co-sponsors list is extensive for obvious reasons. Blatantly so those reasons go if you comprehend fundamentals. Systems and individuals that operate effectively require this.

Alaska’s State Legislature approved a bill in 2000 to stop it. Palin was mayor of Wasilla, Alaska from 1996 to 2002. Common beliefs these running mates hold, which in and of themselves hold a vast majority in disbelief.

Tony Knowles, Alaska’s governor at that time stated,“We would never bill the victim of a burglary for fingerprinting and photographing the crime scene, or for the cost of gathering other evidence. “Nor should we bill rape victims just because the crime scene happens to be their bodies.”

The grandiloquent language, "We love Alaska. We love Americans and the working class," translates into rather, by actions alone forgetting the emptiness of the phrases, the usual acquisition of money and want of a reputation in the political arena for lowering taxes, but in this instance at the expense of the true responsibility of the job: The well-being of thousands of people, hopefully never millions. A decision maker, a voice of, and for, the people. How to take care of citizens as Mayor then, lies clearly in question. Agendas taking precedence, nothing new or riveting, no revelation.

Neglect on a human level, for the residents of a small area is...the terms that come to mind presently should not be typed out.

The question to ask here is how irresponsibility with position would effect the masses, and for just how many years. How long would it take before the solution, coming from a finely tuned mind, or even one with some functionality, mere common sense, would come and reverse, possibly, irreparable damage?

The courtesy of footing the bill would have cost the city between $5,000 and $14,000 a year, and, at the minimum, be covered as every Alaskan gets a check from the state government, annually, containing their portion of yearly oil revenues. Think in terms of the $2,000 range. The money exists.
